Has any one bought anything from that site? They have some brands on there that aren't suppose to be sold online like hertz, audison, rainbow, zapco, ect.

I was wondering since my system is passive....Im running a bit ten.....Should i just go ahead and go active?I turned down the gain all the way on the back speakers just to hear how the front sounded...I wish i could just do that...lol!!! be simple..lol I would be running 75 watts rms to my front doors and 75 watts rms to my tweeters and i would just unplug the back door speakers....Would doing it this way sound better?Im just worried if my tweeters could take that power. They are focal component set 165a

Tiago Annes That's exactly what I'm doing right now in my car. Have an alpine 4x110 RMS feeding the a pair of JL Audio C3 upfront. My rear speakers are disconnected. The installer suggested I removed the rear speakers and just left the speaker grilles so the openings provide a better passthrough for the sub in the trunk. Most passive crossovers waist power and on top of it do a mediocre job with the soundstage. That amp should be perfect for those speakers if your installer tunes it right. You are gonna wish you never went passive in the first place. Just make sure you have an authorized Audison installer do it for you, and yes it is worth the extra money. I'm surprised your installer didn't suggest you to go active in the first place. As soon as I inquired about the Bit Ten, the first question my installer asked was if I was going to run it as active. Good luck!
-
Tiago Annes If you can do it even better. Save some money with installation. Once they tune it, ask for the bit ten tuning configuration file in a flash drive so you don't lose the configuration. Plus it gives you a chance to experiment with the eq and bring it back to the professional configuration if you can't achieve yor desired configuration. Make sure you don't spare on the cables and wires, the bit ten will really perform.
-
Doug Bernards theres such a HUGE gain when you go active!! i say try it..
if you have access to an RTA you would be golden. that way you can get your mids and highs even when you adjust your amp gains. - 2 more comments

when using the tranzitBlu isfm22 blu tooth adapter do you have to hook it up to the car antenna? The reason I ask is I am looking to go to blu tooth streaming for audio with my ipad mini/ iphone set up but I completely removed the fm antenna from my Jeep because it hasn't been of use to me for years... So I am just wondering if you HAVE to use the fm antenna or if I can just go with rca's between this and my istreamer

MotorCityFats bluetooth has nothing to do with FM radio frequency ... rca/3.5mm is the common interface
-
Scott Stott That unit has the option to use RCA outputs, or the antenna outputs for FM modulation. So if you have a device that takes RCA or 3.5mm in, then you just use the RCA outs on the ifsm22.

Hello,
I have a dual 2 ohm sub woofer that is at a 4 ohm load right now..Its a phoenix gold 10" sl series ran by a rockford PBR300X1 amp that is 4 ohm mono 300x1...I was wondering if i could step up to the rockford PBR300X1 at 1 ohm load would that make a big difference in bass response? Im not sure if im right about dual 2 ohm ran by a 1 ohm amp...Thanks!!!-
Scott Stott You will only be able to run the sub at 1ohm if your amp is 1ohm stable. A quick google reveals that it does have a 1ohm rating, and that is actually when you get 300 watts of power, 2ohms gives you 150 watts and a 4ohm load, which you are running right now does not give you 300 watts like you stated, you are only getting 75 watts RMS at 4ohm, which is pretty low powered.
I would say you will certainly notice a difference at 1ohm, now whether or not the amp will function all day long at this level, you would just have try and find out, many simple and cheaper amps may give a 1ohm rating, but won't really work for daily usage. But give it a shot, and if not, you could at least get a sub that will give you a 2ohm load.

I want to get an amp and a sub for 2010 mazda 3, it already has tweeters and mids in the front and coaxials in the back. Can i hook all these speakers and a sub to a 4 channel amp? The sub is a 12W0v3 4 Ω and maximum recommended amp power is 300W, I want it to pound but still have crisp sound. My speakers and head unit are stock.

Nick Frazier 1. I wouldn't recommend putting too much power to the factory speakers but a small 4 channel will definitely help with clarity and giving you the ability to cut off some of the bass going to the interior speakers.
Are you keeping the factory radio? Doing a 4 channel off a factory radio is harder due to the inherent distortion that occurs at low volume in most factory systems (meaning getting clean signal is most of the time more expensive than getting a signal for a subwoofer as most noise caused by the factory headunit won't be heard due to the frequency range a subwoofer plays).
2. It wouldn't be able to go all off of 1 4 channel. You'll need 4 channels for the interior speakers (unless you don't amplifier the rear speakers). I'd suggest a small, efficient 5 channel such as an Alpine MRX-V70. It's a little more power than needed on the sub channel but with proper tuning you'll be fine. - 7 more comments

Hi all,
As i've been helped perfectly before,
i have a question for you all (inclusive our soundman team)
I made some custom doorpanels for 3-way system, nog the low tones (goddamn english of mine) are not the best. some random vw golf with cheapass speakers sounds better..
i fitted the doors with dynamat and sealed the space between the doorpanel and opening to the inside of the door. still no nice warm sound..
anyone any idea how to fix that? maybe the door is too large for the speaker?

MotorCityFats what is the stock output of the alt and do a volt meter AC peak hold test to see where you are ballparking on wattage output and then check voltage drop at the amp and battery post

Does anybody know the front speaker sizes for a 1996 BMW 328i four door sedan. I know there are two speakers in the doors, mid and tweeter and woofer in kick panels. Just need to know the sizes. Thanks in advance.

Nick Frazier Kick is a 5.25" midbass driver
Midrange is a triangular shaped 3.5/4" requires custom adapter (or they sell em online) and tweeter is the same way except smaller. ANy tweeter replacement would have to be custom.
